We all know those military moments, you know...the ones where you've been waiting months to see your loved one; the ones where you FINALLY get that first kiss; the ones where you cry tears of joy. Pictures of military love capture so much emotion, so share pictures of you and your sweetheart, now! They can be of your wedding, engagement, homecomings, whatever flies your kite...just make sure it's military themed in some way, shape, or form. :) Also, everyone loves stories that make them go "awwwww" so we'd definitely like to hear how you met, got engaged, etc. Feel free to submit as many times as you'd like...just click the appropriate link above. :)
Hi, my boyfriend just left yesterday for basic in Illinois. I'm new at this military relationship stuff so I'd love to know the best way for coping with the pain of missing him so much and what I can do to help the time go by fast. I really miss him and I'm used to seeing him every single day so it's going to be really hard for 9 weeks.
Just keep busy. Write lots of letters. Hang out with friends. Find a new hobby. There’s no easy way to miss someone less. It’s just something you get used to over time. Keep reminding yourself that it’s only temporary.
My boyfriend is leaving for boot camp tomorrow, but I would like to know how often can I write you a letter? Can I just send him a letter everyday? Or there is a limit??
You can send letters as often as you’d like. Letters are always fun to receive. I liked to conserve stamps, so I used to write letters everyday and then send them all in one envelope at the end of the week. Just a tip, one envelope can hold about 12 pieces of paper without having to use more than one stamp.
My Name is Raphaela and Im dating a United States Sailor who I’m not only lucky to have found my boyfriend but my best friend. He’s leaving for Deployment in less than two weeks. I just wanted to share our story and our blog. I’m a rookie at this whole “military girlfriend” thing, but I think I’ll get the hang of it.

Thanks for letting us submit, I enjoy your blog !!
My husband and I got married in December and he deployed 2 months after that. These are 2 of the most recent pictures I have received! We have been together almost 6 years and 3 deployments together. I wouldn’t trade it him for the world!! :)
My husband and i were taking an bubble bath at this time. :3 Its a funny story how we met and all the crap that we’ve endured together. From the moment I first heard his voice, I knew. We were Best Friends, inseparable. He went off to basic and began his Military career. Now, a few years later, we’re together, and it feels unreal. Like a chapter from my own story book. Ilovehim. I always have, always will, that will never change. He’s my soldier forever. He’s my everything, my cup of tea, and our life together, our adventures, have only just begun. <3 :))
Yesterday I married the love of my life. It was a small wedding (probably the smallest wedding in the history of weddings) but it was the most wonderful thing I have ever done in my life. We even accidentally added our own awkward moment to the ceremony by getting confused and saying “yes” instead of “I do”. It was more perfect than I ever imagined a wedding could be. People doubted us when they learned we were dating and Alisa was going off to boot camp in a matter of months. But I wrote her everyday and I was there for her graduation. During her boot leave we got engaged and knew we couldn’t wait much longer to finally get married. MCT was hard with no communication and MOS school has brought along it’s own struggles as well. It hasn’t been easy but when you have such an amazing person waiting for you at the end of the tunnel, it makes you want to keep moving forward. I will always stand by her no matter what happens. That girl is my best friend. I am nothing without her. Our journey has only just begun. Always and forever 💜
